Haibike SDURO FULLSEVEN LT 6.0 2018 Electric Mountain Bike
You’re a weekend rider who likes to let loose on the hills on a serious piece of kit, yet may not for whatever reason be into competition and want a bike with a comfortable geometry? You may want the SDURO FULLSEVEN LT 6.0 2018 Electric Mountain Bike.
A new machine for 2018
You may well have seen the FULLSEVEN range of eMTBs on E-Bikes Direct. What makes this different is the ‘LT’ which means ‘long travel’ and refers to the 150mm front and rear shocks that can soak up even the biggest obstacles yet is comfortable to ride for someone who doesn’t take riding too seriously.
At the front you have the RockShox Yari RC 150mm travel forks, which can be air adjusted to your weight and you can put presets into for different sections – on a climb for a stiffer ride or a softer ride for the trails. This is matched at the rear with the 150mm travel Rockshox Monarch RT that is adjustable for weight and has a ‘pedal function’ where it will stiffen up while you pedal and soften as you coast.
The Shimano XT, 20 speed drivetrain is possible thanks to the Yamaha PW-X motor allowing for two rings on the front and 10 on the rear cassette. This provides for nuanced gear changes to maintain speed on different terrains.
Speed control is important on the trails, and the Magura MT trail brakes are amply suited to this. They have twin pistons on 203mm front rotors (where most of the braking pressure is) and a single piston on 180mm rotor at the rear.
This great bike also has a rear seat post dropper for changing heights on climbs and descents.
Yamaha PW-SE electric motor
This 250 Watt crank motor can give up to 280% of the power you put into the pedals, and with up to 70Nm of torque you can race off from a standing start with just a quick kick to the pedal. There are four modes of assistance ranging from Eco+ to High mode that you can use according to your needs.
The energy comes from the 500 Watt hour frame mounted battery that will realistically give you 80 or so miles on a typical ride. The Yamaha LCD display has a range of parameters that include a battery meter and projected range at the current setting
