Full Throttle Electric Bikes

Once these tests are completed, we are presented with a British National Type Approval, Minister’s Approval Certificate bearing your bike’s frame number. This ensures the certificate can only be used in conjunction with specific bikes. The certificate must be kept in a safe place. Just like an MOT certificate, although we and the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency will keep a record of your bike’s Type Approval.

Unlike an MOT Certificate, the Single Vehicle Approval Certificate lasts for the lifetime of the bike. This does not need to be renewed.

Benefits of Full Throttle Electric Bikes

Full throttle eBikes work in exactly the same way as standard eBikes when the throttle is not used. The rider can use the throttle as needed, without affecting any other standard EAPC functions. This feature not only makes these bikes safer and more easily controlled at low speeds, but also offers faster acceleration from a standstill.

Important Note

Using a throttle can reduce the range of your eBike considerably. To achieve maximum range, it’s best to use the throttle only when needed.
