Wisper Tailwind Comfort LOW Crossbar Commuter Electric Bike Full Throttle – Stone

Wisper have made special arrangements with the DVSA to have their bikes tested and Type Approved as 250W L1e Low Powered Mopeds.

This means that Wisper Traditional, Tailwind and Wayfarer hub motor driven bikes are now available with a fully legal twist grip or thumb throttle option, powering our bikes up to 15.5mph without the need to pedal. You do not need insurance or tax to ride these bikes. They can be ridden on all the places you can ride a standard pushbike.

Full throttle bikes are easier and safer to handle in slow moving traffic than pedal cycles and the use of the throttle improves your ability to accelerate away from traffic lights, perfect for commuting. They offer a quick, eco-friendly and cost-efficient option for city commuters, at a time when everyone is looking to save on rising fuel and transport costs.

Wisper introduce their all new Tailwind. This Comfort variant of course adopts the core specification as the City variant, however is equipped with some handy extras to aspire adventure.

Tailwind is formed around a 6061 Alloy hand welded frame that boasts straight tubing and accompanying blade forks to achieve that simplistic, sleek aesthetic that’s proving to be immensely popular amongst all demographics currently. Although its electric running gear is discreet, perhaps indistinguishable to the untrained eye, Tailwind packs either a 360Wh or 540Wh tubular battery which powers it’s 250w high-efficiency hub motor to achieve up to 50 miles from a single charge! Plenty to get you from A-B, and back to A. (Please note: 540Wh battery upgrade protrudes the frame tube. See image 2)

Adventure is bound to throw curve-balls your way quite often, especially if your route changes, so Wisper have included a set of mechanical disc brakes & a Shimano Alivio 9 speed gearing system that allows the bike & indeed the rider to adapt & thrive within it’s surrounding terrain.

Let’s talk comfort. This model features dual full mudguards, front lighting a rear mounted pannier rack with integrated rear lighting to broaden that comfort zone & cater to whatever mother nature might throw at you.
