Upgraded for 2018

The 2018 model has many improvements on the 2017 Motus ST electric bikes. The 250W Bosch electric crank motor has the Bosch Active Line system which sees smoother acceleration whilst shifting gear to create the perfect combination of mechanical and electrical pedelec technology, allowing for some of the best electric bike riding experience on the road today. This is supported with a pannier mounted 300Wh battery that used with the power control system can give you 90 miles of riding between charges – a good distance on a cycle tour or a few days’ riding on a typical commute.

The electrical system works with the 7 speed Shimano Altus drivetrain on a 12-32 tooth cassette that can allow you to tackle even quite ugly hills without relying too much on the electric power system.

Stopping the green Raleigh Motus Step Through Derailleur 26" Electric Bike is with the Shimano M200 hydraulic disc brake on the front and the M315 hydraulic disc brake on the rear. Disc brakes are taking over cycling with their amazing efficiency and all weather effectiveness. They are lower maintenance than Vee brakes, only requiring pad replacement half the time of Vees and won’t heat up as quickly on a long descent, reducing brake fade.

For comfort and tackling even the least maintained of our Great British roads, you have the 62mm travel Suntour NEX forks, a Selle Royal Milo+ saddle and Comfort Grips on the handlebars.

All this makes for a comfortable and safe electric bike that might even handle a journey farther afield than your daily run to work.
