Raleigh Motus Grand Tour Black CB Hub Gear 700c Electric Bike
Power on this hybrid bike comes from the Bosch Active Line Plus motor that is built around town and city riding. While powerful it won’t chuck the power in your face like a high end mountain bike, but rather give a comfortable extra push as you pull away. It has a high level of pedal rate detection that enables the motor to match your pedalling, adding just the right amount of power as you need it. This is complemented with the 400 Watt hour battery that sits low on the frame so you won’t feel the weight as you manoeuvre. The battery gives great range too – up to 110 miles on Eco mode, or a decent day’s riding in normal use of different power settings.
Pedelecs are about the motor assisting you riding – this is why the Nexus 8 speed hub gear drivetrain is important in getting you from A to B, and stopping power comes from the Shimano M315 hydraulic disc brakes – ample in all weather conditions and from most speeds! Comfort on the ride comes from the Suntour Nex suspension fork with 63mm of travel for the lumps and bumps on track and road alike. The Selle Royal Scienta R2 also helps iron out the road as you ride. As the days get darker (or your rides get later!) the Trelock front light and integrated rear light are powered by the main battery so as long as there’s juice for the road you can see and be seen.
