Oxygen S-CROSS MTB Electric Mountain Bike
The newest and top spec bike in the Oxygen range, the S-Cross eMTB is designed for fun off-road cycling yet will look after you on road routes – perhaps commuting or on mixed cross country routes.
S-Cross MTB Features
The electric power on this machine comes from a high torque Bafang 8FUN 250W rear hub motor that will kick in quickly when asked for on the hill – or even just at the traffic lights! With the choice of a up to 35 mile range 10.4 amp hour or a up to 50 mile range 13 amp hour battery, you won’t have to worry so much about how much juice you have left on even longer rides.
Motor control is via a stem mounted LCD display that has a variety of functions 6 power assist levels and the further option of 3 power modes. A USB port for charging mobile devices connecting directly to the bike’s battery is also included.
The Oxygen S-Cross MTB’s drivetrain is a Shimano 27 speed system that will allow you to put in as much or as little leg power into your run in the hills as you want. You can control its speed with the Tektro Auriga hydraulic disc brakes. These are very good in all weather conditions and won’t fade even on a longer descent where heat might have been an issue for Vee brakes.
27.5” wheels are becoming a standard size for mountain bikes, allowing for a greater distance per pedal pump than the older, smaller size and serving for a more comfortable ride over the lumps and bumps you run into off and on-road. Schwalbe Rapid Rob MTB tyres have low rolling resistance on road yet are nice and grippy on the looser / wet stuff.
All backed up by a 2 year warranty on the Samsung battery.
