Haibike XDURO Trekking 4.0 Womens Bosch Electric Bike
This bike is a perfect commuter ride yet will take you wherever you desire on or off road on an extended trip. The XDURO Trekking women’s bike is a comfortable ride for those longer trips and sturdy enough to be used day in / day out the year through.
New Features
The 27.5” wheels are a striking new feature for this model. A short enough wheelbase for lighter trails yet long enough to tackle cross country routes (or good old fashioned commuting) this wheel set has fatter tyres to absorb some of the obstacles you will find on tracks and trails too.
Gearing is important over longer runs too – you want a good mix of smaller cogs on the cassette and larger ones for bigger climbs. The designers of the Haibike XDURO Trekking 4.0 Womens Electric Bike had this in mind with its Shimano 11 speed drivetrain and speed shifters for fast, accurate gear changes.
As important as its ability to go is the ability to slow down and stop. The Magura MT4 hydraulic disc brakes are both lightweight and strong stoppers that will serve you well with minimal maintenance.
This bike is very like the Cross 4.0 edition but has a number of important differences, notably in its pannier rack at the rear and lights that are wired into the main 500Wh battery.
Bosch CX Performance power
The XDURO Trekking 4.0 Womens Electric Bike has the Bosch CX Performance crank motor that can give up to 75Nm of torque. What this means is that when you really need the power, perhaps to get out of the way of a car blindsiding you, the motor will give you a whack of energy when you most need it. All electric bikes in Europe are limited to 15mph but the 250 Watt motor can pack a real punch as you need it.
The Intuvia controller is intuitive to use and can be controlled with real ease. There are four power settings for the motor through this system, from battery-sapping Turbo for those nasty hills to Eco for conserving energy as you do a longer run. On typical terrain you will get around 70 miles out of the 500Wh battery pack, which is also the largest battery pack available on the Bosch system.
All these components working together on a lightweight frame combine to produce a machine that will go the distance even with a little weight packed for the journey, whether that is as you go to work or on that tour of the Scottish Highlands you’ve been planning for a while…
