180mm RockShox Yari RC front shocks can be air-adjusted from 150mm-180mm according to the terrain. You can switch between your preferred settings at the flick of a switch, minimising faffing about between runs.

At the rear of the XDURO NDURO 9.0 2018 e-MTB you have the RockShox Super Deluxe RC3 180mm shock that can also be adjusted for stiffness and travel according to your weight and the next planned ride. With the two systems front and rear this is a versatile machine that can handle almost anything thrown at it.

The ‘carbontecture’ frame is built with endurance in mind so is strong yet very light for a bike in this class.

Brakes… Wheels… GPS?

Stopping power is just as you need with the Magura MT5 4 piston hydraulic brakes on large rotors, controlled with two-finger levers. The boost axles and a DT Swiss free ride wheel set support Schwalbe Magic Mary tyres that are perfect for loose and slippery substrates. The tyres are made with lower pressures in mind, softening your ride as you take this NDURO 9.0 to the max.

Now for the clever bit. Nice bikes are loved even by people who think a ‘good deal’ involves turning up to a track in a white van and walking off with your pride and joy. The 2018 NDURO 9.0 has a Haibike eConnect GPS transponder built into the frame so you can track it as soon as you find it gone. The system can also alert loved ones of your position should you have an accident, and for everyday use it tracks your route and speeds as you go

Yamaha PW-X system

The power that makes this electric mountain bike go is the Yamaha PW-X eBike system. It is a 250W motor that can give you up to 320% the wattage you put into the pedals at a peak of 80Nm of torque. It has five settings – 'Eco+', 'Eco', 'Standard', 'High' & 'EXPW' (Extra POWER). Using the 500Wh battery you have a brand-claimed 110 miles on Eco+ setting – bank on 70 with sore legs at the end! The handlebar mounted LCD display shows you a range of parameters according to your needs on a particular leg of your trip
