While both machines have been upgraded on last year’s editions, not least with their new-for-2020 Bosch Performance CX motors, the XDURO MTN 3.5 is a definite step up on its slightly smaller brother.

Both have 625Wh batteries that will give around 60 miles of mixed riding and both have the new Performance CX motor that is smaller and lighter than the version used for years before. The 3.5 though has better brakes, gears and shocks.

Bosch Performance CX

Updated for 2020, the Bosch Performance CX gives a real kick when asked for yet can read your riding so it doesn’t spin out when pulling away. Torque is where this is at, pulling at up to 75Nm, and delivering a performance curve that allows for blistering acceleration when you need or just helping you up those hills as you let the machine take the strain. A 625Wh in-tube battery is just where the weight is needed, yet also can give you 60 miles of mixed riding – more than enough for a day in the saddle! The Bosch Purion controller/display will show you just the parameters you need, including speed and estimated battery distance.
