The Haibike SDURO Trekking 3.5 Mens hybrid electric bike has a nine speed Shimano Alivio M4000 drivetrain and gears that use an 11-40 tooth cassette – more than ample for some of the bigger hills around the UK. Stopping is with the Magura CMe 5 ABS disc brakes on 180mm front and 160mm rear rotors.

Bosch Performance Cruise motor

With 63Nm of torque available when you pull away this will get you off at the lights nice and quickly. Economical yet powerful, it measures your cadence up to 1000 times a second to provide optimum power for your ride. It stops briefly while you change gear so there is less strain on the drivetrain.

500Wh Battery

Your 500 watt-hour battery will give you a good 50 miles of mixed terrain riding – a lot more if you put more into the pedals and ask less of the motor! Batteries are easily swapped out using a special key so for a big day in the saddle you might want to carry another. They can be charged in just 2 hours using the supplied fast charger.
