The Shimano Alivio M4000 9-speed drivetrain runs over a 11-40 tooth cassette and should flatten out those hills on your route even without the Bosch motor! Slowing down and stopping is with Shimano MT200 disc brakes that are attached to a 180mm rotor on the front wheel and a 160mm rotor on the rear. Most of your braking force is on the front wheel – thus the size difference…

The 28 inch wheels on the Haibike SDURO Trekking 3.0 Mens electric hybrid bike have Schwalbe Road Cruiser tyres that will get you over less bumpy tracks but chew up the miles on the road. For the bumps, the 63mm travel SR Suntour NEX E25-LO front shocks have a lockout for different riding conditions.

Important for the utility aspect of this machine is the panniers, full mudguards and the integrated lights that are plumbed into the main battery so you can ride at night with one battery to worry about!

Built for those who don’t want to worry about every single parameter of their ride this simple, clear LCD display tells you just the basics for your ride. Battery capacity and estimated battery distance, speed and power setting are all in one spot for you to see with a quick glance.

Bosch Performance CX motor

The 250W Bosch ePerformance CX is built with the trails in mind. It gives a little extra power at lower cadences for when you need that extra kick to get up to speed, while cutting out briefly during a gear change to protect the chain as you need to kick a little harder on those climbs. With a peak output of 75Nm of torque (up to 300% the wattage you put into the pedals) you can really shift when you need to, too!

500Wh battery

Your 500 watt-hour battery will give you a good 50 miles of mixed terrain riding – a lot more if you put more into the pedals and ask less of the motor! Batteries are easily swapped out using a special key so for a big day in the saddle you might want to carry another. They can be charged in just 2 hours using the supplied fast charger.
