Haibike SDURO Trekking 3.0 Lowstandover Electric Trekking Bike
The Haibike SDURO Trekking 3.0 LSO Lowstandover (Lower Crossbar) Hybrid Electric Bike is suitable for road riding with the odd bit of mild paths and trails. Ideal for commuting and errands, this machine is also good for family and fun rides. It has integrated lights, mudguards and panniers for those utility uses but can carry whatever you choose from a kiddy carrier to a sleeping bag for longer rides!
SDURO vs XDURO
In recent years Haibike have decided to make it easy for the rider to choose between its lines of electric bikes. The XDURO series is for people who take riding seriously and won’t want to be left out in the rankings. Meanwhile the SDURO series is for those who may still be fit as a fiddle but are more weekend mud warriors than people who eat, sleep and breathe riding.
Trekking
Ranging from high quality hybrid road bikes to the more cross-country end of the electric hybrid and trekking end of the spectrum, the Haibike Trekking series is for those who want to carry a bit more with them on their journeys and may wish to travel in low light conditions.
Who are you?
You’re a woman who could want an electric hybrid bike for a range of different reasons. Are you returning to cycling after a few years off the saddle? Are you jealous of your cycling workmates who leave home after you and get there before you in your car? Could you be fed up of looking for parking spaces when driving into town? Perhaps you want to go on longer leisure rides… These and many others could describe your own reasoning for getting a women’s electric hybrid bike.
The detail
The Shimano Alivio M4000 9-speed drivetrain has an 11-40t cassette that will give you all the ratios you need for getting about town and even up some bigger country hills. This is supported by the torquey Bosch Performance CX motor and the 500 watt hour battery that can give you a daily range of 50 miles.
With 28 inch wheels the Haibike SDURO Trekking 3.0 Women’s hybrid electric bike definitely prefers the road but won’t fall apart if you show it a railway / canal towpath or do a family forest ride. Stopping is with Shimano MT200 disc brakes that have a bigger 180mm rotor on the front and a smaller 160mm rotor at the rear.
Very important for a utility oriented electric hybrid bike is the panniers and mudguards. For darker times of the day this machine has integrated front and rear lights that are powered by the main drive battery.
Intuvia display
Built for those who don’t want to worry about every single parameter of their ride this simple, clear LCD display tells you just the basics for your ride. Battery capacity and estimated battery distance, speed and power setting are all in one spot for you to see with a quick glance.
500 watt hour battery, Bosch Performance CX motor
Your 500 watt-hour battery will give you a good 50 miles of mixed terrain riding – a lot more if you put more into the pedals and ask less of the motor! Batteries are easily swapped out using a special key so for a big day in the saddle you might want to carry another. They can be charged in just 2 hours using the supplied fast charger.
The 250W Bosch ePerformance CX is built with the trails in mind. It gives a little extra power at lower cadences for when you need that extra kick to get up to speed, while cutting out briefly during a gear change to protect the chain as you need to kick a little harder on those climbs. With a peak output of 75Nm of torque (up to 300% the wattage you put into the pedals) you can really shift when you need to, too!
