Haibike SDURO HardSeven 7.0 2018 Electric Mountain Bike
For the fun, weekend rider who may do a mix of forest trails, cross country and a bit of road riding as part of their electric mountain biking fun.
Not everyone is a competitive speed fiend who spends every penny they can get their hands on on their pride and joy mountain bike. Though this does cost a reasonable sum of money, it is nowhere near as much as you would pay for a carbon hardtail or dual suspension eMTB. You will be the sort who likes a blast in the sticks yet won’t be anxiously checking tenths of seconds as soon as you get to the bottom of a run!
2018 Features
Upgraded from last year’s version the SDURO HardSeven 7.0 e-MTB has an eleven speed, 11-42t cassette that allows for a great range of gears for any terrain.
This year the electric mountain bike has an in-tube Bosch 500Wh battery for improved weight distribution and riding geometry.
SDURO HardSeven 7.0
The 120mm travel Suntour Raidon fork is built specially for bikes with 27.5 inch wheels and has a remote lockout. Additionally this year’s bike has Maguro MT4 hydraulic disc brakes mounted on 180mm rotors for great speed control.
Haibike’s own German engineered wheel hubs are attached to Rodi alloy lightweight 35mm rims, and the tyres are 2.8” Schwalbe Nobby Nic branded that can run on lower pressures for better grip on the loose stuff, yet will grip slippy surfaces and not hold you back so much on stretches of road.
All in all, a very good all rounder that won’t leave you at the back of your group of riding buddies.
Bosch Performance CX and Purion eBike power system
The 250 Watt Bosch CX crank motor peaks at 75Nm, kicking like a mule when you need that extra boost. The 500Wh battery on the lowest power setting should give you around 60-80 miles of conservative riding as you need. The Bosch CX motor is complemented by the Purion control and power system that is smaller yet provides just a few parameters for a quick look as you enjoy your day in the saddle.
