New Yamaha PW-X motor
2017 was the first year the Yamaha PW-X motor was released on mountain bikes. Though limited to 15.5mp/h it delivers a whopping 80Nm of torque meaning that when you kick the pedal it kicks like a mule. If you are new to electric mountain biking, don’t be afraid either as it can be forgiving for those who don’t drive so hard and fast. The powerful 250W motor comes with a 400Wh Lithium ion battery which will allow for a Yamaha claimed 125 mile range on Eco mode (though in reality count on a careful 75-85 miles).
Another element on the SDURO HardSeven 7.0 Electric Mountain Bike is that the controller screen is built into the stem. This adds protection against those times when you just can’t hold the ground quite tightly enough, but also is secure against theft from your bike.

The SR Suntour Raidon RL-R, Remote Lockout, steel spring forks have 100mm of travel to take in those bumps, while the 6061 aluminium frame is strong yet contributes to the bike’s relatively light overall 20kg weight.
Shimano Deore gearing makes for fast, accurate gear changes and for stopping you have the Magura aluminium hydraulic disc brakes to control that speed!
As a whole the SDURO HardSeven 7.0 Electric Mountain Bike will serve you well on the trails and, should you want to, on road as well. A cross country electric mountain bike with an eye for the road, this is a good buy for the more serious MTB enthusiast who might find those climbs a little more challenging than they used to, or the commuter who wants to turn up to work on a machine that screams attitude!
