Haibike SDURO Cross 6.0 2019 Ladies Electric Bike
While an excellent ride off-road, the Haibike SDURO Cross 6.0 is just as happy on-road with its lower profile yet knobbly road tyres. The drive system being Yamaha, you will find a greater choice of ratios available than a Bosch system equivalent. Whether as a cyclocross training machine or as something for a road-biased XC adventure or even as a solid commuter, this should be high on your list.
SDURO vs XDURO
In recent years Haibike have decided to make it easy for the rider to choose between its lines of electric bikes. The XDURO series is for people who take riding seriously and won’t want to be left out in the rankings. Meanwhile the SDURO series is for those who may still be fit as a fiddle but are more weekend mud warriors than people who eat, sleep and breathe riding.
Haibike Cross series
Haibike have made what may be termed a ‘serious hybrid’ in the Cross series for enjoyable riding on road yet can chew up the countryside on legs between the road – a cyclocross bike in short. This can make it a good commuter, or a machine that you can take on family rides with to keep up with the youngsters!
Who are you?
Are you a a commuter who has some rougher, sometimes slippery sections of your route? Are you someone who enjoys touring the countryside at weekends yet doesn’t spend all the time of-road? Are you a cyclocross rider who needs a nice low impact training machine to help get the miles in without putting too much stress on your legs and joints? These and many other reasons are why people go for the SDURO Cross 6.0 women’s electric cross bike.
More detail on this machine…
The drivetrain built around the Yamaha PW-SE drive system, the SDURO Cross 6.0 women’s electric cross bike has two gears on the crank and 10 on the rear and allows for up to 20 different gear ratios to choose from, allowing for a smoother acceleration and changes of climbing speed. Ample stopping power is achieved with aluminium Shimano MT400 hydraulic disc brakes on 160mm rotors.
On 28 inch road wheels the knobbly Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres are large enough to absorb many a lump on your route and can grip well on gravel and muck. Shock absorption is helped with 63mm travel SR Suntour NCX D-LO front shocks that have a lockout for different terrains.
500Wh battery, Yamaha PW-SE motor and Side Switch display
This bike comes with a Yamaha 500 watt hour battery that is ample for longer length rides where you’re not embarrassed to ask for the odd push of full power as you get about. Rechargeable in just a few hours, you can plug it in in the evening and have a full battery for your next day in the saddle.
The Yamaha PW-SE is a development on the tried and tested Yamaha PW motor and delivers just the power you need where and when you need it. Economical yet delivering just the right amount of power when you need it, this power system is perfect for road and trail alike.
The Yamaha Side Switch display is an LCD screen that shows all your parameters in one place so with just a quick glance you can see just what you want, be it battery life, power setting, speed or distance travelled. You control the power output of the motor with a flick of a switch from your right thumb.
