In recent years Haibike have decided to make it easy for the rider to choose between its lines of electric bikes. With its knobbly Schwalbe Smart Sam, low profile tyres this is a bike that is nice and quick on the road yet will handle forest and farm tracks nicely. With the Bosch Active Line motor the 8-speed Shimano Acera M360 drivetrain will flatten out most hills as you explore the world outside of town, yet can really motor on the mean city streets.

Stopping and speed control on the SDURO Cross 1.0 Women’s electric cyclocross bike is achieved with Tektro T275 disc brakes on bigger 180mm front rotor and a smaller 160mm rotor at the rear.

For ironing out those lumps and bumps on road and track alike, this has 60mm travel SR Suntour NEX E25-LO with a lockout for different terrains.

Bosch Active Line Plus motor, 400Wh battery and Purion display

Taking up to 1,000 measurements a second from your pedalling, this 250 watt motor gives back just as much power when you need it. Light yet agile, it gives great torque in a smooth yet controlled manner. The Bosch Active Line Plus also pauses briefly as you change gear so your drivetrain isn’t overly stressed. Topping out at 25km/h it provides all the kick you need in normal riding.

This is controlled through the Bosch Purion control system. This gives a range of data to you the rider, from estimated battery on a given power setting to distance left on that setting, as well as speed and distance covered. It really is all you need for a fun day out in the hills! With power just a click of the left thumb and the other data available with an easy to use thumb-joystick you can focus on riding not faffing about with the system!

The hot-swappable 400 watt-hour battery will serve you well over 30-40 miles of mixed riding – more if you stay in Eco setting or switch it off! Chargeable in just 2 hours, it is easily switched with another one should you feel the need to go farther.
