Corratec E-Power C29 CX6 Trapeze Hybrid Electric Bike 2021, Belt Driven – Satin Silver/Brown
Corratec have have crowded their drawing board with a number of innovative, unique features that not only set the model apart from most, but also refine your journey and reach for that little bit of 'extra' that you didn't know you needed.
Formed around a lightweight Aluminium Trapeze frame, you'll find the short reach and comfortable 'sit up & beg' geometry ensure you maintain the correct posture on those lengthy journey, but also makes mounting & dismounting the bike a lot easier, appealing to a broader target rider. Corratec designed & built, Bosch powered! Cleverly integrated within the frame's 'shadow edge' downtube is a generous Bosch PowerPack 625Wh battery which sends power to the Bosch Performance CX crank drive motor, delivering a linear, responsive power.
For indexing, Corratec have chosen the prestigious Magura MT Thirty hydraulic disc system. As for gearing, you'll find not much in the way of a derailleur, but instead, an Gates Carbon Drive hub gearing system that not only adds to the uniqueness of the bike, but again minimises maintenance and creates a sleek aesthetic. One of our favourite features of this bike, and one that we haven't seen before, is the 'Handlebar stabilizer' technology, whereby weights are mounted within the handlebar to reduce vibration and this increase control & stability!
One of the focal points of this machine is the larger 29" wheel. Lacking in suspension forks, assuming for weight reasons, Corratec have included larger wheels to comfortably and confidently take unpredictable terrain in it's stride. Pace is also increased, with chunky hybrid tyres providing a little cushioning, without increasing rolling resistance.
Finished in a Satin Silver & Brown for a modern traditional look. A very very well equipped bike that doesn't leave much to be desired.
Integrated Engine Technology
Keeping things not only neat aesthetically, but protected against the given elements faced when riding MTB.
Handlebar Stabilizer Technology
Weights mounted inside the handlebar will minimize the vibrations that occur and provide more stability at high speeds.
Shadow Edge Tube 2.0
he all new Shadow Edge Tube 2.0 hides the Bosch Battery Pack completely inside the down tube and provides therefore a nice shape and look of the frame, nevertheless the battery can be removed out of the down tube. This intelligent and innovative lid-mechanism is developed by corratec and patent pending.
Larger 29" Wheel
Large wheels roll better. 29 inches require about eight percent less energy than the 26-inch version. The 29“ wheel takes longer to get going, but rolls easily and quickly over rocks and roots, which brings an additional advantage – more comfort.
Larger wheels roll over obstacles more easily. The ability of a wheel to roll over obstacles is proportional to its size. A 29" wheel, which is about 10% larger than a 26" wheel, can roll over 10% larger obstacles. The larger diameter wheels have more angular momentum so they lose less speed to obstacles and rough sections.
29" bikes tend to offer taller riders a more "natural" frame geometry.
Internal Cable Routing
Internal Cable Routing inside the frame for protection and a stylish design.
Stem Height/Reach Adjustment
The stem is fully adjustable. On this Model you either can adjust the stem angle or hight or both. Therefore the bike can be ajusted to the right distance upper body to handlebars, and the handlebar height. Enjoy your long and pain free ride.
Suspension Seatpost
The suspension seatpost offers great comfort. The spring rate can be adjusted to your needs.
